A month ago, I stumbled upon the mystical ritual of the “cold shower” — allegedly the holy grail for health, energy, and stress resistance. “Wakes you up better than an espresso, tougher than your fitness coach!” the enticing promises claimed. My first thought was, “Cold showers? Am I crazy? I love my warm water more than my own bed!” 🛁

But then, a thought crossed my mind: “Why not? If people voluntarily jump into ice-cold water, I can certainly send my skin into the deep winter for a month.” ❄️💪

So, I went for it. And what can I say? It was less “refreshing” and more like, “I think I might die!” 😱 — but in the end, I learned a lot. Here are the highlights of my icy adventure! 🌊🔥

The First Days: A Real Shock to Body and Mind
The first cold showers were, to put it mildly, a shock. My body loudly protested — it felt like it was asking, “Why are you doing this to me?” 😩 Every morning, I stood in front of the shower, battling with myself. But despite the freezing cold, I stayed determined and pushed through my goal. 💪
